Equalizing Toner is a targeted exfoliating face toner that helps refresh and restore skin, while removing excess residue. This toner for pH balance combines hydroxy acids to gently exfoliate dead skin cells, with botanical extracts of witch hazel, rosemary, aloe, and chamomile to soften, soothe, and tone skin.

Cell Turnover Science

Cell turnover is a naturally occurring process in which the body sheds dead skin cells to create space for fresh, healthy cells. As the body ages, this process slows and dead cells accumulate, leading to an impaired barrier function and increased visible signs of aging such as fine lines or wrinkles.

AHA BHA DOs + DON'Ts

DO: Apply Sunscreen
Exfoliating acids found in an alpha hydroxy toner such as Equalizing Toner can cause skin to be more sensitive to UV rays. Protect skin from photodamage and visible signs of aging by always applying a broad spectrum sunscreen.

DON’T: Layer with Retinol
Retinol is a powerful ingredient that triggers cell turnover and can cause irritation when combined with exfoliating acids. To prevent irritation and promote visibly healthy skin, apply retinol and AHAS or BHAs separately.

How to Use Equalizing Toner

Prep + Dispense

Twice daily after using a SkinCeuticals cleanser, pour a small amount of this pH balancing toner onto a cotton ball.

Apply + Complete

Gently smooth over the face, neck and chest. If using in the morning, follow with a SkinCeuticals vitamin C serum and broad spectrum sunscreen. If using in the evening, follow with a SkinCeuticals corrective product or moisturizer.
